Adclear vs Hadrius: which fits your compliance problem in 2026?

A blurry image of office workers with the title of this blog in bold on top - "AI in Compliance Review: Signal vs Hype"

Adclear and Hadrius overlap on one module and diverge everywhere else, which makes this a comparison worth reading before you book either demo. Hadrius is a compliance operations suite for SEC- and FINRA-regulated firms, where marketing review is one of six solutions. Adclear is built entirely for financial services, covering the content side end to end: marketing, financial promotions and customer communications. If you know which of those problems you have, you already know your answer; this page is for everyone still deciding. Checked against both live sites, July 2026.

What Adclear is

Adclear is agentic compliance software for financial promotions and communications: pre-publication review and approval, post-publication monitoring across live channels including affiliates and finfluencers, and ongoing governance through a Knowledge Hub your compliance team controls. Customers include NatWest, Monzo, Lloyds, IG, PensionBee, Plum, InvestEngine, Kraken, Coinbase and NinjaTrader. The platform has cleared 50,000+ promotions across 40+ jurisdictions, monitors 100,000+ live ads, and covers the FCA, Consumer Duty, ASA/CAP Code, SEC, FINRA, CFTC and FTC among 100+ mapped regulatory bodies. Adclear won RegTech of the Year and graduated from the FCA's AI and Innovation Programme.

What Hadrius is

Hadrius is a New York-based, Y Combinator-backed platform that raised a $22M Series A led by CRV in July 2026, bringing total funding to $27M. It positions as "agentic compliance infrastructure" for RIAs, broker-dealers, private funds and compliance consultants, and the suite covers compliance testing programs, marketing review, code of ethics and personal trading, communications archiving (17a-4/WORM), and trade surveillance. It claims 500+ financial institutions with over $5T in client AUM, and its homepage carries named testimonials from CCOs at M1 Finance, SmartAsset and Republic Capital.

If you're a US RIA or broker-dealer whose CCO wants one system of record for the whole compliance program (attestations, personal trading, comms archiving and marketing in one place), Hadrius's consolidation pitch is a rational shortlist entry with real momentum behind it.

Side by side

The category difference does most of the work here. Adclear is a content compliance platform for financial services, covering marketing, promotions and communications in depth; Hadrius is a compliance operations suite where marketing review is one of six modules. The buyers differ accordingly: Adclear is built for marketing, compliance and product teams together, while Hadrius is built for the CCO and compliance team, and it serves RIAs, broker-dealers, private funds and compliance consultants where Adclear serves banks, fintechs, crypto, trading platforms and asset managers. Jurisdiction draws the sharpest line of all. Adclear covers the UK (FCA) and US (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, FTC) across 40+ jurisdictions on one platform, while Hadrius is US-only.

On marketing depth, Adclear offers positional feedback on drafts, Figma, Slack and CMS integrations, affiliate and finfluencer rule sets and live-channel monitoring, where Hadrius covers AI review, approvals, disclosure management and WORM archiving. Adclear's results are named and linked (Plum 18x campaigns, InvestEngine 520+ hours a week, Trade Nation +103% output, PensionBee one-day approvals) alongside 50,000+ promotions cleared and 100,000+ ads monitored; Hadrius has named CCO testimonials, with its headline metrics self-reported (500+ institutions, 19+ hours a week saved). Pricing is sales-led on both sides.

A suite module vs a whole platform

The practical question is where your pain concentrates. Hadrius reduces the CCO's total workload across many obligations, and its marketing module exists to serve that mission: review content, keep disclosures consistent, archive to WORM standard. It's compliance infrastructure that happens to touch marketing.

Adclear starts from the marketing team's day and works backwards to the regulator. Feedback lands positionally on the draft (the exact frame of the video, the exact line of the landing page), inside Figma or Slack where the content is being made, with an explanation the writer can act on without a meeting. Compliance keeps rule authority and signs off edge cases, and the audit trail assembles itself. That's why the measured outcomes are marketing outcomes: first-time approval rates moving from around 35% to over 90%, Plum growing campaign volume 18x, Trade Nation lifting output 103% through self-approvals. A suite optimises the compliance department; a promotions platform optimises the whole pipeline that promotions flow through.

The jurisdiction line

Hadrius is built for SEC and FINRA territory, and within it, for the RIA and broker-dealer world. There is no UK or FCA coverage in its live product navigation. For a US-only advisory firm that's no gap at all. For a fintech, crypto platform or consumer finance brand marketing across the Atlantic in either direction, it's the whole decision: FCA financial promotions rules carry prescribed risk warnings, prominence requirements and approver accountability that a US-regime platform has no reason to model. PensionBee runs UK and US compliance on one Adclear workspace, which is the arrangement we'd suggest you pressure-test in any demo, ours included.

On the numbers

Hadrius publishes energetic metrics (19+ hours back per user weekly, large false-positive reductions, faster review cycles) and they're self-reported, as most vendor numbers in this category are, including some of ours. The filter that works: ask for the named customer behind any figure that matters to your business case. Hadrius has named CCO testimonials it can point to. Adclear's headline results are attached to named, linked case studies: InvestEngine, Plum, Trade Nation, PensionBee. Whoever you shortlist, make the reference call.

Choose Hadrius if

You're a US RIA, broker-dealer or private fund consolidating your entire compliance program (testing, attestations, personal trading, archiving, comms surveillance) into one CCO-facing system, and marketing review is one workload among many. That's the job Hadrius is building for, and the funding and testimonials say it's doing it well.

Choose Adclear if

Financial promotions are the bottleneck or the risk: a marketing team that wants to ship faster, a compliance team that wants control without being the queue, content flowing to social, paid, affiliates and finfluencers, and FCA or dual UK/US obligations. That's the work Adclear was built for, and the named results reflect it.
